#8 Stainless Steel Flat Washer

Designed for assembly around a 18.8 stainless steel bolt or screw between the bearing surface of the fastener and what it is attached to, these stainless steel flat washers are used to improve stress distribution and in places where parts are subject to corrosion. Grade 18.8 steel is made of 18% chromium and 8% nickel, which is added to 0.8% carbon and roughly 50% iron. The added layer of chromium creates a barrier that's difficult for oxygen to penetrate, increasing its ability to avoid corrosion. SSFW#8188
